PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

NOVA (Norwegian Social Research).
2007: Submitted to the report “Norwegian national and local policies to
prevent violence against children.” Ministry of Children and Equality.
2007: Provided supervision to municipalities in engaging children in reporting to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child.

2002 Prepared a national plan for implementing Family Group Conferences in child protection, in co-operation with the Ministry of Children and Family Affairs.
1997-2000: Project leader for the study: “The use of Family Group Conferences as a method in Child care decision – making”. Providing training and supervision for the employees.


International work experience
2007: Member of the stand by team, Save the Children Norway
2003: Pre project on children from asylum – seekers families returning
to Bosnia Herzegovina and Turkey.
1998: Engaged by Norwegian Peoples Aid in assessing the situation for refugees in the Mostar area, Bosnia – Herzegovina.
1997-1999: Engaged by Norwegian Peoples Aid to assist in developing a competence centre for child care and child protection in Bosnia – Herzegovina.
1996: Engaged by Oslo University College to plan and carry through a project within the Erasmus network:”Intensive Programme on Comparative Research and Practice in Child Welfare”.

Some of my Tasks as independent consultant 1996 -1998:

• Providing training and supervision for child care workers in different
municipalities.
• Recruiting and training foster parents
• Provided a rapport on the institutional care in Buskerud county.
• Provided a rapport for a new institution for mother and children in Østfold county.
• Assisting municipalities on the National Program for developing the child care and child protection.
• Assisting the Nordic program for Social Work (NOPUS ) in developing the bachelor program.
• Published a report on preventive efforts in child care for the Ministry
of Children and Family Affairs.
• Assisting the institutions within child protection on providing professional
guidelines for the work in Østfold county.
